IRAR

Instant Reverse Aerial Rush. A RAR is a technique where you move towards an opponent but turn around before jumping at them, allowing you to use your b-air against them. After your dash attack, input a dash and immediately enter reverse jumpsquat. You can instantly enter reverse jumpsquat within any of your dash frames. If you enter reverse jumpsquat on the first possible frame, the frame data will look like the following: Frame 1: Dash Frame 2: Back + Jump (enter reverse jumpsquat) + jump Frame 3: Reverse Jumpsquat Frame 4: Reverse Jumpsquat Frame 5: Airborne with your back turned

pDKO

Term specific to Donkey Kong in Smash. Cargo grab -> jump -> Cargo Up Toss -> land on platform during cooldown -> jump -> DJ -> u-air. This seems to be the optimal method of executing DKO (aka Ding Dong, a kill confirm) in Smash Ultimate. We toss before landing on the platform to avoid landing lag. "Short for platform DKO".

aDKO

Term Specific to Donkey Kong in Smash. Aerial Cargo Up Toss-> DJ u-air as a kill confirm. Kills earlier than gDKO, (the g is for grounded) but lacks its consistency at higher %'s.

Ding Dong

Refers to a kill confirm Donkey Kong has that's present in Smash4 and Ultimate. He can grab an opponent and chain Aeiral Cargo Up Toss -> Up-air for a kill at certain percents.

They nerfed ding dong in ultimate so it doesn't connect as often but they shifted DK's power to his other moves

SHFFAC

In Smash, on Donkey Kong, this acronym stands for "Short Hop FastFall AutoCancel". Donkey Kong has two aerials capable of this: n-air and u-air, which greatly reduces their cooldown and allows for excellent followup potential at the right %'s.

SHCUT

"Short Hop Cargo Up Toss". Smash Bros' Donkey Kong can jump with an opponent in cargo, but he can also short hop which allows for different followups. Because DK doesn't jump as high, the distance between him and his opponent is increased, which allows him to combo into late hit n-air / b-air more easily at lower %'s.

"Aerial Cargo Up Toss". In Smash Bros, Donkey Kong can perform 7 different types of throws, and they can be performed on the ground or air, and are known as cargo tosses. So AC_T and GC_T stand for "Aerial Cargo ___ Toss" and "Grounded Cargo ___ Toss"

GCUT gives DK access to both his jumps after tossing the opponent, but ACUT leaves DK closer to the opponent since he retains upward momentum during the toss.
